Air Conditioning
A few things to know about air conditioning of your motor vehicle:
- A unique feature of refrigerant in which it's temperature can be kept in line by controlling it's pressure. When R12/134 experiences high pressure, it becomes hot and when it's pressure comes down it gets cold.
- Airflow has a lot to do with the efficiency of a cooling or heating system of a car.
- Routine maintenance of a working air conditioning system can make it last much longer than one that is not serviced.
- The basic automotive air conditioning and heating system requires a group of components: Compressor, Cycling Switch, Condensor, Plumbing, Drier, Air Ducting, Expansion Device, Orifice Tube, Evaporator, Accumulator.
Properly working auto air conditioning heating system for your comfortable traveling is essential
We demand a lot from our vehicles. Not only we expect it to start and run without problems, we need the heater to keep us warm when it is cold and air conditioning system to keep us cool when it is hot. That is why it is recommended to service heating and cooling system regularly based on the schedule in user manual for your vehicle.
Keeping Comfortable Temperature in Your Auto Takes Work
Heat is produced during the engine's combustion action. And it is absorbed by the coolant in your car's radiator and circulated through the heater before returning to the radiator. A fan then distributes air over the heater core and into the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
Air conditioning comes from the car's developed air conditioning system. Rather than adding "cold" air to the car's interior, in reality it removes the heat from outside air, cleaning and drying out and keeping it at the temperature you choose. The "cooled" air is then sent to the car's interior in an " unwarmed" condition.
Inspection of your Automotive Air Conditioning includes:
- Inspecting interior controls and fan
- Check radiator coolant level, hoses, pressure cap and thermostat
- Test the condition and tension of the A/C compressor belt
- Check for leaks or other damages
- Review component conditions for leaks or damages
Auto Air Conditioning Heating System testing includes:
- Cooling system pressure test
- Compare A/C pressure to manufacturer's recommendations
- Test A/C system for refrigerant leaks
- Check interior vent air temperature
